Overview FAQ
QuestionDoes employee self service mean that departments will not have to complete paperwork to change employee addresses -- the employee will? AnswerThat depends on the change, but UNCG will empower active employees so that they may make payroll address changes.
QuestionCan the time entry back-up be an employee from another small office? AnswerYes, if your supervisor will authorize an employee from another office to be your time entry back-up -- that is permissible. But, do remember, if that employee leaves -- a new trained time entry back-up would be needed.
QuestionAre we responsible for training our faculty? AnswerNo, we will have on line instructions for go live.
QuestionWill the person who keys time be able to see all fields? AnswerThe person who keys time will only be able to see the fields needed to key time entry, but any fields that aren’t necessary for keying time entry.
QuestionDoes your time entry back-up have to take all banner classes? AnswerYour back-up will only have to attend the sessions that they are a back-up for. Ex. Time entry back-up attends time entry sessions; query back-up attends query sessions.
QuestionOn the current budget flexible, you have to scroll through the entire list to find what you need to approve, is this going to be the same in Banner? AnswerOn the new approval budget flexes, you will only see what you are authorized to approve, not the entire list.
QuestionI only want my back up to see time entry fields only when she need to be my back-up, is this possible? AnswerNo, once assigned as a back-up, the person will always have access to those fields. Access can not be turned on and off.
QuestionHave all approvers been mapped? Who will approve the approvers? AnswerYou will go in EPAF to set up the approvers.
QuestionWill salary be masked when doing EPAF? AnswerNo.
QuestionIs there any way for a supervisor who is not attending Banner training sessions to get information? AnswerNo, the only way to get information for Banner is through the Banner training sessions.
EPAF FAQ
QuestionCan you delete an EPAF before or after you submit? AnswerYES before you submit you can delete and after you submit you can simply return it to yourself.
QuestionCan a person have more than one secondary job? AnswerYES They can have multiple secondary jobs.
QuestionWill the usernames in the approval que be recognizable to us? AnswerYES They will be set up before go live based on your org.
QuestionIs a suffix of 00, 01, 02, etc. is applied to the same person during the same time period with the same position number? AnswerYES If it's a different position number you can have a suffix of 00 again.
